If it does go that way, then I just don't think it'll be worth the price. Don't believe me? Look at the Lexus LFA.

Hybrid tech has come quite a long way, but still has a lot of room to grow (and cover) before it could be applied to the Supra (IMO). Like the Porsche 918, it would be amazing in respect to the innovation, however, I do not think the hybrid integration would be good for the market scope and/or the price of the Supra successor. It is just not a good idea to increase the price of a vehicle to cover the cost of a technology that the market of that specific vehicle is not interested in, or sure of. Personally, I would hate for the Supra successor to end up like the LFA. Not in price, of course, but in market approval. I hate to say it, but I hope they wait a bit longer for the Supra successor. The technology would be improved, hopefully cheaper, and hopefully more people would be interested then. Just my $.02

it'll be 80 grand. if toyota does it. it's going to be in the GTR/corvette/viper league. the sad part is they will probably have a hit because of toyota's following in the import world.
i just don't think they want to enter that realm. it's a lot of money.

I agree, its price is likely to be in the league of the GTR and therefore out of my league. I will never spend that much on a new car (but might buy one used 5 years old...). It's why I love and own my BRZ.

I don't know what's worse, the shock of the third picture, or seeing "Hybrid Synergy Drive" on the back of a FREAKING SPORTS CAR!!
