lol @ price tag.

They could have put in high flow cats and a re-badged TRD intake, claimed 15-20 HP, and made everyone happy. Stubborn folks.

One does not simply tweak its engine and call it a day. OEMs have to fulfill tons of requirements and get (very pricey) domestic approvals on every market on top of their own (internal) long validation process.

You have a LOT of options for 40k... but not many with a warranty, albeit, a questionable one.

somewhere in between year 3 and 4

As all of us who have bought year 1 of the car approach our end of leases and/or paid off vehicles, i believe is when we will see a second, more powerful engine option ( not neccesarily Turbo or supercharged ). They are going to want to entice the early keeners as we all are to trade up, and the only way to do that is with more warrantied power. This is why the aftermarket companies are scrambling to get a reliable, emissions legal F1 product to market before this occurs. Either way its awesome for us the comsumer.

Just need those wheels, seats (in black), and brakes, and I'll be set.

You would think they'd steal the "GT" badge from the GT-86.

I would love to plaster that on my BRZ, though! "Subaru BRZ STI tS GT" sounds hot! haha And typical for Subaru naming and badging.

Still need type "RA-R" and "spec C" in there somewhere. Plus "R20X", whatever number would designate BRZ. Maybe "7"?

Subaru BRZ STI tS GT type RA-R spec C R207.

You could move the letters around and create the BRZ STiG edition.
