As much as I loved mine, I don't know if I'd go as far to say that those are better on the RSX than the BRZ. Having to pick the better car is liking trying to pick your favorite child when you love both equally. I feel that both are driver's cars though.

Haha... true, you gotta love your two children equally. But you gotta admit, one is probably smarter and one is probably better at sports and one is possibly good at selling drugs. They all have their strengths right?

Well, a button can also be something you press. Since you press the horn to use it, a button wouldn't be too far off the description. Hehe.

Agreed, though, it does look a bit out of place.

I don't know if I agree with that! I owned a RSX for 6 years straight and there wasn't a hint of soft touch plastic inside like the FRS/BRZ twins have. In the FRS from my experience the whole dash is soft touch and there is nice materials on the door except for some hard surfaces there. Now the engine reliability is another story.

Not long before writing that post, on my way home from work I realized that that nice rubber cover on the dash is separating from the plastic underneath above my center vents... Never seen that on a Honda.

Using your CPI link a Porsche 959 would cost $462,000 in 2013 (was $225k in 1987). And yet, it's performance is eclipsed by a 997 911 Turbo, which cost around $120k in it's last year of production. So that's superior performance, for almost 25% of the price as the earlier model. My Integra GS-R was around $18k in 1992, which is $29,900 in 2013. A new Civic Si is $22,500, and it's performance eclipses the GS-R in every way. Why is this so difficult for some people to get? If Honda introduced a new S2000 tomorrow, identical to the one introduced in 1999, it wouldn't cost over $30k. Jesus...

Oh my gawd...the price. Are you seriously getting into the territory of 3 years old Cayman, and elise ? No thank you. I rather save that 40k for an IS250 or any of the used above.

Pure enthusiast with too much money will still buy it, but majority including me will not.

While I agree with your point in general, quality-adjusted CPI (that adjusts for what you're trying to say) for new cars is still going up lately.

^agreed, but it's not for performance reasons. It's safety items that are required and all that techno crap that manufacturers "insist" we want.

Subaru Disappoints with New BRZ ts Concept as it Reportedly Brings No Power Gains

Quote:
As we anticipated when we first saw the "ts" designation on the BRZ's teaser photos from the official Subaru STI site, the new version of the rear-wheel drive sports coupe will not come with extra punch from its boxer engine. Subaru displayed a concept-badged, but in reality, production ready version of the new BRZ ts by STI at the 86 festival at Fuji Speedway this week.

While the horsepower figure remains at 200, there are some worthy additions to the tS variant of the BRZ. For starters, there will be two versions of it, one of which will simply be called simply “tS,” while the other the “ts GT Pack” and it adds all of the extra bits bolted onto the exterior of the car – the white car they unveiled featured the GT Pack…

The regular BRZ tS does without the pack's nice-looking Recaro front seats and black rims, but the special badging and updated fog lamp surrounds remain, as do the suspension mods.

Finally, according to 7Tune.com, a BRZ fitted with the GT Pack, featuring the standard six-speed manual, will cost the equivalent of $41,500 in Japan, but keep in mind that it may very well be a JDM-only model.
