21, one year of my Mechanical Engineering degree left.

I've been fortunate to have had some well paying co-op jobs, been able to maintain really good scholarships and did the first 2 years of my degree at a smaller university so I was able to live at home then and save a lot of money.

Needed a car for the work term I am currently on, and my parents' old Accord needed more work done than it was worth (being 13 years old). I planned on buying a new car when I graduated, so rather than buy something used, dump money in it for maintenance and then sell it a year later I bought my BRZ about 6 months ago. Not sure how the dealership qualified me for the loan, but I'm handling all payments (0.9%), gas and insurance.

Good on people who pay for their own car. I don't have a 86, but I recently sneaked out and financed a WRX. My parents planned to get me a brand new Corvette C7, but I'm 24, I'd rather pay for me own bill.

I just turned 20 and will be driving mine by the end of the year. But I bought a brand new TC right after I turned 18 and have worked hard even while in college to make the payments myself. Just gotta have the drive and the passion to do what you want.

I'm 19 and my parents got it for my 19th birthday/graduation present. I pay for my insurance/gas/car parts and for three phone bills.

I'm 107 y/o. I can barely even make out my Hyundai FR-S I purchased. I still love my Chinese car!
