I had a Gremlin and a Spirit. The Gremlin I bought from some old lady for $100. Anytime I hit a gust of wind, the back window would fall out. It wouldn't fall completely off, it would just hang by one hinge. It was such a piece of crap I got it's more developed cousin the Spirit. Neither car's doors worked. They would only open from the inside.

After abusing the hell out of it for a couple months I traded the Spirit in for a RX7. What a difference. One of the best cars I've ever owned.

Jag: To the grocery store

Tcoat: Why .. ??

Jag: To get groceries

TCoat: What groceries ..??

Jag: The ones on your list.

TCoat: Where is the list..??

Jag: Your wife put it in your smart phone, which is in your upper right shirt pocket.

TCoat: What's this piece of paper on my pocket where I used to keep my car keys.

Jag: It's a note that reminds you that the grocery list is in on your phone, which is in your shirt pocket.

TCoat: Yep, I remember, back-in-the-day ...........

Maybe by then we'll all just order our groceries on Amazon, or our connected fridge will, so we won't need to remember where we are going or why! That's what I'm counting on in my dotage. In the meantime, I just use my forgetfulness as an excuse for more fun drives around town. "What do you mean I forgot the onions! Well, I better go get some, then" …. Vrooom

I don't mind a "smart" car, but I want it to be a willing partner in my dumb shit, not a finger waging nanny.

It's funny because right now I'm carrying a spare battery and jumper cables because my starter battery is really weak and will die at any time. I mean if it ain't broke don't fix it. Plus I'm lazy as Hell.

I guess I should explain that I have the Phantom Electric Supercharger. So I have 5 batteries. 4 run the supercharger and 1 acts as the original car battery. And they take slightly more space and weigh slightly more.

Even if I didn't have the ESC, I would replace the OEM battery with one of these just to save the weight and space.
