I am not joking. Automatics are for appliance cars, minivans, SUV's, luxury cars...NOT SPORTS CARS. Be a man, drive stick. If you're buying an auto FR-S, chances are you're constantly whipped by women, can't grow a beard, and are afraid to go after what you really want in life.

Or, how about you enjoy _your_ car the way you want to and let me enjoy _my_ car the way I want to. Oh, I forgot that what everyone else is doing means more in the hard parking scene than it does in the driving enthusiasts' scene.

I guess Ferrari didn't read the memo and FORGOT to offer a traditional manual in the 458. whoops! Shame on them... I agree, this car isn't for you. Please don't buy one and waste your money. This car is people who don't know what they want in life. |

eh, fine. Drive automatic sports cars all you want. I don't care anymore. I give up. Manuals aren't dying, they are dead already. RIP manuals.

Here we go. I feel like Randy Marsh at Stan's baseball games. My Miata is 700lbs lighter than the FR-S and easily swallows an LS3 480hp V8 under the hood when I have the cash for it. Also, Miata has double wishbone up front, FR-S uses MacPherson struts.
Don't talk shit about Miatas, because it makes haters look stupid. Put 2 350lb people in your car when you get a chance and drive around for a bit. Then let them out and drive around. Bet you'll notice 700lbs. I like the FR-S, I'm happy Toyota hasn't completely lost its soul, but I'd rather spend $25k on a V8 swap with all-new parts everywhere. I'll get an 86 in about 5 years, and I'll be happier than a pig in shit that the manuals will be a good $2,000+ cheaper than the autos. |

![]() I was hoping someone was going to give him a taste of his medicine. He needs to go buy a used s2k since he hates cars available with automatics. |

People need to understand that manual transmissions will never be phased out in lightweight affordable sports cars. Only in the heavier pricier models more than likely will. Look at the s2k? The ITR? Celica? Mx5? Rx8? You guys are panicking so hard I have no choice but to laugh at you guys. I can understand if all those cars I mention didn't offer a manual. A heavy car like the GTR would still be heavy as hell so I can understand why they chose not to go with a manual.
