Should be interesting to see. I can’t help but feel putting softer springs up front would cause too much body roll. Of course that can be addressed with bigger sway bars but then you lose some independence. I can definitely see the appeal of SSC class though. Significantly less expensive and still very streetable setup.

Who would have guessed snowflake class was really about weather conditions though?
Eric is one great driver! I look forward to seeing how we compare with my stx car to his ssc car at a couple events this year.

My times were not worth anything as comparison for many reasons... But there were some very fast drivers there still. It will be an interesting season.

Them CWSCC Ice racers... lol

I don't get to many events that direction, but see most of that crew at MN events.

Ooh yeah, the ice racing crew were all at the top of the pile. That would probably be good for me to try one of these days too.

Me, I was just happy I made it through my runs - same conditions I lost my car in at the end of last season, I had just a few jitters. Slowly losing those... I ran MPSS and didn't push them much that day.

If you're willing to sell your OEM tophats I'd love to buy them off you.

I’m probably going to hang onto them. Will most likely put the car back to stock whenever I eventually sell it.

That's a big question. All of that info is concisely discussed in the "STX setup" thread. And throughout this one as well.

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30303

In short, BFG rival 1.5's in 245 or 255-40/17. Lots of camber with more up front. But the rivals are not so great for the track. That's a different question.

Mainly concerned about the +30 offset and the tire dimensions that wrap it. +30 is pretty rare and I can’t seem to find comments through the search

I don't know if I've ever seen anyone run a 17x9 +30 wheel on this car. If you could even find some they're likely to rub the fenders unless you have crazy camber. One of the most popular wheels in STX are Enkei RPF1's in 17x9 +35. For me they don't poke at all with a 1.5" drop and -2.5 front -2.0 rear camber. Maybe not the most original setup, but they're a proven design that's light, relatively strong, and reasonably priced.
