Probably with the wide engine there isn't enough space to run double wishbone at the front?!

DW is not outdated, just another suspension design. Porsche and BMW don't seem to have any problem or performance issues with it. They both use MS, and although DW seems to be more 'elegant' and have benefits... I don't design cars for a living either, sadly.

My 1st gen Tib has 100X the road feel. (To think he once had a 911!)
Go drive a cobalt ss. We have electric steering also, I don't know about the rest, but it seems like I am steering my old honda del sol... not because its heavy steering, but because it feels like I am moving the wheels directly. The FR-s will be even better (cuz no fwd)

I didn't see that in the translations. What is the front legroom?

I wondered about that too - after all my 1st gen Tib has MacPherson strut up front, multi-link rear. But if M struts up front are good enough for a 911, they should be good enough for the FR-S.

EDIT - I see someone beat me to it....

What the fuck.... double wishbone outdated? Jesus H. Christ. #facepalm

Pretty sure Kostas was talking about the Mac strut.... I hope anyway.

Either way, BMW and Porsche seem to get by quite fine.

Am I the only person that's excited by the 12.5 CR? My only regret is that it isn't 13, a la Skyactiv.

I'm with you on this one. I plan on autoXing this car, so I'm not looking for a turbo set up. I'm just looking for something that's fun to drive, and I think this is going to be it!

Honestly it doesn't. You're talking a 2.0l H4. That platform is typically for torque. DI and higher compression will be the only real way (N/A) to achieve those kind of numbers on pump gas.

I have a friend w/ a race build 2.5L H4 (N/A) making about 285 to the wheels. He's at 12.5:1 and runs 105 leaded.

Makes sense to me.

But on a different note, I'm seriously not happy about how the rear seats fold as one unit. I currently have 4 tires in my tiny Accent and I can still seat 2 passengers comfortably due to 60/40 folding rears. Hell I can fit my mountain bike in there with only half of the rear seat folded down, with both wheels attached. Very disappointing.

I've known this car would have 200 hp forever it seems. But I just always assumed that TRD would have a dealer installed FI option. And that Subaru would offer a turbo as well. If that's not the case my interest is waning. I don't need or want monster horsepower. However this car with around 300 hp would definitely give you sub 5 second 0-60 runs, high 12s/low 13s in the quarter and top out around 175 which is what I'm looking for.

Perhaps I'll just hold on to my S2000 till I can afford a used Cayman S ('09+):happy0180:

I agree. It'll also be annoying to take it out of the car compared to two smaller easier to move parts (for those who want to remove it for track days/autox/etc).
