Same here.
The 86 is pretty sensitive to proper breaking-in. ... And to giving it some time to heat up before starting to push. My gears were rather ... notchy/sturdy (=a pain in the ...) when new. Couple of thousand km's later, nicely crisp when warm. Still you feel that everything just works better when it reaches normal working temperature though (which can take quite a few km's , weather dependant). But I've read on several forums that people were complaining about the gears, and that they went for different tranny oils. Personally I'd be very cautious when going for other than OEM oils for the box. Thinner oil might feel nice in the beginning, until you find out 10-15k km later you're synchros or gears are worn out as the lubrication film was broken under pressure conditions. Same goes for 'racing' oils, they can be very different chemically as you change them very frequently anyway. So no issues with long term deposits (= no detergent doping agents required). Kinda different in 'normal use' conditions. |

Quick question.
I know there are specific threads for it, but nevertheless... anyone has good suggestions here for a nice sounding exhaust, purchased in Belgium somewhere? Ideal one : sounds nice -deep- but within reasonable (approved) limits and breathes free-er so that a few ponies more are available. Or if there are exhausts with a controllable bypass (some 911's have those) where a flick of a swich makes the exhaust silent or loud? |

I am more than please with my Milltek, that I ordered and installed through http://www.shiftech.be/
Good service as well, got a part of the exhaust replaced under warranty without any problems. |

Supersprint stated that they could make one with an electronic valve but that it would probably be €€€.
Problem is that most approved exhausts just dont sound that good! |
