Really? There are 20something headers available! You can spend anywhere from $300 to $2k on one, catted or not, your choice. Or are you asking for a CARB approved one?

If you are modifying a car to drive it in your own yard, then you can do whatever you like and you can say that nothing is ruined. If you drive it on public roads, then you should be responsible. At least in civilized and developed countries and not as you said in countries with oppressive governments.
Yep 100% safe.

Europe has the most annoying and useless rules ever, and the funny things is Fiat and VW are the ones who break them first
My trd suspension was installed by the dealer, which they told me was now under full new car warranty.

I was just throwing the commonly used number out there I know 300 would not cut it. I just used drag car as the extreme it was not intended to encompass all heavy modded cars or imply they all hit a strip.

Yes, I was talking about people that strip their cars down. Not saying not to or it is wrong just saying that for ME it would defeat the purpose for which I bought it. To pull all of the things that keep it practical for my needs out to save a bit of weight and increase speed a tiny bit would not make sense to ME. I rarely get to open it up and use what power it has as it is so don't need to go looking for more.

There are loads of guys that have totally reliable FI cars but each individual success story does not mean there is not increased level of risk. I am not prepared to take that risk. I need my car road worthy every day with the lowest possibility of failure possible. Even if there is an problem and I can fix it (or have it fixed) I would rather reduce the risk of an issue to start with. The definition of "daily driver" is also very different for some people. Don't know how much you drive daily but for me 12,000 miles was done in my first three months of ownership.
12,000 is 3 years for me, even going on evening and weekend drives in the hills.

Different situations, all good, not ruined.

Enough of these cars show up wrapped around trees or otherwise destroyed by people that can't handle the car as it sits... more power would not help. I like my insurance rates being higher than I like, but still affordable... I've seen them go up simply because the vehicle has been categorized as higher risk already...

Everything out there would do well with a good deal less power.
ok Mom.
