How ppl engage the clutch mid way, so they won't roll back or start slowly. In my view that's "using the clutch". So not "using the clutch" is just go as you drive normally. That's what I meant.

It's a lot cheaper to replace brake pads than a clutch disc. And hand brakes can be adjusted pretty easily.
