I found the solution. Really should have done my research before asking the question but I was on my mobile. Really quick and simple fix.

Step 1: Open door with car off
Step 2: On key fob hold down the Lock and Panic button for 5 seconds. There will be a constant beeeep sound for those 5 seconds and once 5 seconds is up there will be another beep.
Step 3: You're done. Close the door and test it out. Passenger door unlocks

The gf will be more excited about this than any other thing I will do to this car lol.

Smart Key 101.......

Correct Procedure here.

To have both doors unlock at the sametime do this procedure.

1- Stand outside of your car.

2- Now lock the car.

3- Now with the doors locked press and hold down the lock and unlock buttons on your key fob at the sametime till you hear 2 beeps from your car.

4- Confirm that they are both unlocking by opening the driver's door with your hand.

Now to reverse this feature do this.

1- Stand outside of your car.

2- Now lock the car.

3- Now with the doors locked press and hold down the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob at the sametime till you hear 3 beeps from your car.

4- Confirm that only the driver's door is unlocking by opening the driver's door with your hand.

Not yet. After reading different opinions about possible heat problems with the plastic factory housing, I'm hesitant to install the 55W PIAA's. When I first mentioned them it would've been with the glass Subie housing that might be more heat tolerant. Now I'm not sure which way to go. What is the rating of the factory fog bulb, 35W, right?

Hi all,

Has anyone changed out the stock radio? I put my pioneer avh 5500 in and noticed that the wiring harness that powers the EL display can only be used with the stock unit. I'm curious, has anyone modded the harness or hooked it up to an aftermarket switch to retain the EL display?
