I WILL be paying for all the gas and all mods that I will be doing myself. I might get a little help with the isurance because its ridiculously high here in NJ but everything else will be paid by me

Insurance won't be to bad because I don't think they can do full coverage on a salvage

I'm 16 and very lucky to have one. Pay for it all on my own and parents pay insurance. Had about 8k saved for down and currently paying around 400 a month.

We hire 15-17 year old students at my district so this seems legit. Though your parents have to be helping you. No 16 year old can hold a stable job for 4-5 years making a brand new car payment. Otherwise everyone would be rolln around in a brand new car. The kids we hire at my district usually get fired after a couple months or only work 10-20hrs a week. Or only do it for 4 months then quit. Idk how your child labor laws work but if you were in Oregon you would be limited to min wage (under 18) and top out at 17hrs a week or 38hrs during summer brake. Keep at it kid. College + brand new car don't mix. That's why I chose to work for a living. At that point you have to say mommy and daddy pay for your car. if they are paying for your college. Cant say your doing it on your own unless you are 100% supporting yourself.

When I go to college my brother will be taking my car, and selling his Mini Cooper. I average about 30 hours a week

Ha idk if id call that advice. I'm 22 turning 23 in may and have been working for my School District for 3 years now. Went to college for two years and decided to work my way into the position I have today. Was a open door opertunity I could not resist. Own my superchargerd FRS outright. Married. About to buy a house. It's all about the choices you make in life. Just stay straight n smart.

Also don't do drugs. drugs are bad.

I just turned 18 back in November, Got mine beginning of March because my sister needed a car and my parents gave my celica to her. splitting monthly payments 50/50 with my dad. and i pay for gas. as of right now. no job, still on the search. my best friend is helping me with mods and everything until i get the job. plus i have my savings. I guess I can say I'm hella lucky for my best friend.
