I sincerely hope this happens. MS needs to fix their fail with this release. I don't want to see Sony getting fat and happy as being the only decent console in this generation. That would ultimately hurt all gamers as there would be no more need for innovation.

I'm rooting for MS to fix it.

That sounds fine. But again, your friends who don't physically own it can play at any given time right? It defeats the restriction on being able to gift a game to only people with 30 days in your list and only gifted once. I wouldn't need you to gift it to me if I could just play from your cloud all day until I beat it.

It raises another question for me. If I bought a physical game and installed it, which then copies to the cloud as well and then I turn around and "gift" that digital copy to a friend, does the X1 then disable the physical disc from installing again for me or does it block me from gifting it since I still have the physical disc?

The Wii U is decent. It just has a niche library.

I would like to see MS fix it as well, but don't see it happening. Contracts have been put into place and signed. Deals were made. Unless they perform horribly in sales through Q1 next year, I wouldn't expect them to budge.

They charge you when its actually shipped according to my friend who just preorded yesterday.

So full price then the charge goes through when its released.

Who knows, maybe Sony will do what they did to PSP owners and get rid of disc-based games halfway through its life and make you buy all your games again digitally.

Microsoft couldn't because their system was behind tech wise without Blu-Ray and the ventilation problems. What saved them was Halo, actually having games and their awesome online.

The tables have turned on MS.. And I'm a big Xbox fan boy.. just so sad

This is true, sucked at those Ps3 games because the controllers couldn't handle a few drops. My friend's Ps3 controllers all had some joystick problems and the overall light feeling and plasticky was cheepy for me. Xbox has always had the best controllers

True. I guess I just don't like the petty trolling from Sony. Like I said, I expect that from the fans, but companies might want to appear a little more professional. Tables have definitely turned if you don't have an internet connection or buy/sell used games all the time. Neither of those apply to me so it's still an even playing field to me. XBO has more features and amenities and complex digital sharing plan, PS4 has fewer restrictions but also fewer bells and whistles. I'm still buying both and I'm still buying the XBO first. Thankfully Sony addressed some of the problems with their controller, but all in all its not enough for me to abandon my 36k XBL account for an empty PSN tag.

PS4. I like the xbox one, but I refuse to pay twice for online. I do want a Wii U when the price goes down too.

Ok I don't get why people keep bringing up this stupid price point.. $499 for the X1 compared to $399 for the PS4.. You must remember that the X1 is coming WITH the Kinect 2! While the PS4 is just the console and the controller, not the Eye. So you are paying $100 more for: Better online connectivity, Better ergonomical controller, Better OS, Better multiplayer competition, Better exclusives, First releases on DLC, etc. I don't see how the small details about having to connect online once every 24 hours and things like re-sales are having such a huge effect on people. You're on the internet probably half of your day anyways! Whether it be mobile, PC, or console. So let's cross that complaint out. As for the re-sales, the reports are that the game publishers can choose whether to enforce this or not. And no publishers have confirmed this. So the details are still up in the air and I believe there are still 2 big gaming conventions this year until the release date of the X1. So they still have a lot of information to release, while PS4 is pretty much done saying everything. PS4 fanboys are just making huge raves over nothing. We all know that Xbox is here to stay and will dominate the market again. And I'm curious as to why no one has mentioned the fact that PS4 users must have paid online subscriptions now.. One of the BIGGEST taunts PS users had on Xbox users. HMMMMMM... Complain about that
