Hmm that's 4 people with this issue. I'm gonna go double check my other ones. I wonder what's causing this.

Thanks Airaid! Quick delivery to Canada! noticed a bit of a bog at low end, but sounds great with the sound tube still in and cover off. Might get annoying, but easy to put the cover on and sound tube delete.

Curious about this as well. I lost one during the install, but the three that I do have loosened quite a bit.

Interesting. When I went to check on my car the bottom right bolt was about 2 turns from being completely off. The top right was the one I originally lost and thinking back to when I was on the highway yesterday...I think I know exactly when/where this happened. At least I know what that sound was now

After reading about the loose screws I went to check on mine. Everything seems good, they're on there pretty tight. I believe I was the second person to install this intake, and the screws are still tight. Idk what's up with the other members' screws.

Sure as shit, I just checked the screws on top of airbox, and the upper left hand corner one was more than half way out due to vibration (and let me tell you I cranked down on them hard upon initial installation) and another one bottom right was a bit loose. Anyhow, I removed all screws on top lid, put a little bit of Loctite on all four of them and then screwed them back in as I originally had. I'm sure this will solve the problem. Now, I'm worried about the three holding the main air filter tube to the box! Didn't seem loose, but I also didn't remove the whole system to check.

with the deleted sound tube did you cover the hole or just leave it open?

is there any negative effects with taking off the top lid? is that seal really necessary for performance?

I'm pretty sure they designed this CAI to operate properly with the lid on. From personal experience, it Sounds amazing with the lid off...But that's pretty much it

i'm sure a drop of loctite is all thats needed, my top left whole for the screw seemed to be cross threaded. could only get the screw screwed in 3/4 tight before it would spin lose

Another solution would be to buy from a reputable Canadian performance retailer. There's lots of good ones so you don't need to "drive" to the USA to get your parts or get a surprise! By the men in brown.

Shop around, I think you will be surprised at the service and pricing available in your own city.

Thank you
