The 370Z feels like sitting in a Sega Afterburner arcade machine, your ass is so high above ground you can't feel shit on the road.

And I'm sure the GM small block fits in a Miata just cuz Matt Farah can actually fit inside the cabin.

Sure infinite HP would be wonderful... That said my buddy had a stock 2016 WRX and we got into a little bit and they were basically the same. Besides it corners like $100k car so if you HAVE to spend a few bucks getting 50 more HP it's a lot less then it would be trying to make a heavy shit with 300-400hp corner... Afterall speed EXITING the corner is everything really.

The GFs 350z has really tall seats too but they have warmers and are full powered too. I suspect there aren't a lot of cars that sit you as low as the FRS since more padding is more comfortable and they were cutting costs

That's how the new WRX feels as well.

I don't even bother with those people anymore. They either get it or they don't.

Well the Z car is supposedly their flagship so it's got to be nice and comfy I guess, but Nissan always built their top cars like that.

I remember about 30 years ago my dad's friend drove his then new R31 Skyline GTS over to show us and it was quite nice inside and out, but it seemed so huge I seriously thought it was just a 2 door Bluebird taxi cab lol!

So, just got back from test driving the 17 Impreza hatch. Imprezed the hell out of me and we will be buying. The new platform is amazing. The top Sport Tech trim that I drove has everything done just right and it is hard to believe you are driving a Subaru. I have drove BMWs that aren't as well appointed as these things. Not a speed demon by any means but with the Sport Tech package it is more than capable with acceleration for a DD and handles damn near as nice as the FRS (they used the same steering as the BRZ). A truly amazing jump from the old versions. If looking for a compact family car but not interested in WRX/STi level performance (and prices and fuel use and reliability issues) do yourselves a favour and check these things out!

But of course the bench racers in the review comments sections have already condemned it without ever getting behind the wheel:

It always amazes me how people on the internet know a lot about cars that they've never driven.

Edit: But how does it stack up to a Ford Transit Van?

It is built in Indiana and that is the state official measure of volume!
