She HATES my car. Thinks a truck will run over me. She has spent a total of 20 minutes in it in 3 years and refuses to ride with me ever again.

They look really good in real life. I hadn't seen one before so had no clue just how good. The whole thing depends on how I like the test drive tomorrow though. If I don't like it or the seats are to low for her (she had a serious knee injury years ago and can't stand up from a really low seat) we will go for one of the three SUV choices.

Can recommend the RAV4 highly. There have been 3 in the household in the past 7 years. My mom loves them and puts about 40,000km on per year. Outside of a cam sprocket or some shit going bad on her second one, the only other thing that went wrong with any of them was the second one being totalled after it got rear ended by a transport truck on the 401.

With features per dollar it was by far the most expensive. And there was no colour she liked. Colour is the ONLY thing she cares about.

Hm, didn't even really think of the price. She gets a TMMC discount and a car allowance from work, so she only pays at tax time.

Price in it self isn't really an issue it is more what you get for the money. The original plan was for her to keep the current car for 4 more years then get something upscale as a retirement vehicle. As it is she needs something not so costly that we can pile some miles on without feeling bad about it.

If you like the Impreza but want something a little taller the XV is pretty much a lifted version. Friends mom bought one last year and loves it. Looks great in Hyper Blue haha

Ya that is sort of the backup plan. I have been trying to get her out of the whole SUV/Crossover thing for a while though so this may be my chance. There is zero point in her driving an suv around with just her in it about 90% of the time. If it is too low for her the Crosstrek would be my next option.

I like the Crosstreks a lot. If I had to buy a responsible adult car that's what I would get. My Fiancée has an AWD Impreza though so I just bought a fun BRZ.
