"My" local Chevy dealer has a Red C7 on their used lot already. I have to drive by it twice a day on my way to work. Every time I drive by I can tell the FR-S knows I'm looking....maybe that explains the condensation in the tail lights I had a few days ago.

The hood prop rod is so low rent , should have come with gas dampers from the factory.

The FR-S need not worry, if I ever do move on, I have three sons that are already in line to take her over should I decide not to keep her in the stable.

My grandson is only 13 and he is already saving money to buy mine at trade in time in 3 years. Told him I will sell it for what ever the dealer gives as trade in value. He still gets a good deal but also learns nothing is free.

Perfect plan. We did that with two of our three sons for their first cars (they "bought" one of ours). The 3rd did his Senior project on "rebuilding" a car so we contributed more to that one since we had helped the other two out with their senior projects. He had to buy the parts to fix up the car though, and put a lot of sweat equity into it.

Now we just have to convince his mother.
Probably didn't help his case when her first ride consisted of three trips around the deserted roundabout outside the road to our cottage.

The only thing I despise the most is the wheel gap which I have fixed thanks to Hotchkis sport springs. This is my list of the most hated things though.

1. Wheel Gap < Hotckis
2. Stock 17''x7' < 18''x9' Konig Oversteer
3. Stock Headlights < Winjet (ftw)
4. No rear spoiler < Five Axis Lip spoiler (ftw)
5. 2013-14 exhaust tips < Magnaflow
6. Amber side markers < JDM style

Just bought the car and fixed all 6 immediately now I love to look and stare at my car even more than before.

I'm considering this myself.

I have a 14 year old that was expecting to get this car when he obtains his license.

I could afford to keep it and still get the vette, just debating if I want to put up with the hassle of the car "shuffle" for 2+ years.
I have a two car garage and a driveway and this would be our 3rd vehicle.
Would not want to pay to store the car, dont want to put it on the curb, and would not want to keep my vette outside all the time.

When I go to sell my FR-S in about two week I guess if I dont get any good offers I will just keep her.

But then the question is: Is the FR-S a good car for a new teen driver?
I think it may be a little high risk. Sure its no speed demon but it is a sports car.
