Meh, it was more associated with the bumps at the site rather than suspension setup. But regardless it kind of worked.

I saw the comments elsewhere about how well your car worked there on the bumps versus everyone else. I looked through Perry's pics and your car did seem to be more willing to use the suspension travel over the bumps... Great driving, BTW

I have my whiteline 20mm front bar on stiff and adjusted front shocks accordingly. It slaloms and transitions super fast.

Swaybars are kind of like 200TW ratings on tires, they are all constructed differently so it's hard to gauge where they are against each other.

WL has a published stiffness on the 20mm bar of 118.5% more than the stock bar, Perrin's 22mm on the lower setting they say is 130% stiffer. So the two of them are fairly close. The stiffer setting on both is considerably higher. I'd replace the WL links either with the shorter ones they sell, make some DIY ones, or RacerX sells some now as well.

Legality of Jackson Racing Dual Radiator/Oil Cooler

Does anyone know if the Jackson Racing Dual Radiator/Oil Cooler is legal for STX?

The relevant sections from the rules:

14.10.A "... Engine oil ... coolers may be added or substituted (including oil to coolant heat exchangers) but may not serve any additional purpose."

14.10.L "Engine cooling radiators may be replaced with alternate parts subject to the following restrictions:
1. Radiator core dimensions (width, height, thickness) cannot be smaller than the standard part.
2. Radiator must mount to OE radiator mounts.
3. Fluid capacity and dry weight of the radiator must be no less than that of the standard part. Installation of an alternate radiator may serve no other purpose (e.g., to allow a cold air intake passage)."

While the radiator serves another purpose (cooling oil), oil to coolant heat exchangers are specifically allowed.

I don't have definitive info on dimensions/capacities yet. Based on pictures, it appears to be thicker than the OE radiator. The width and height appears the same as OE, but a portion of the width is the oil cooler. It does mount to the OE location.

This rule is rather unfortunately worded in more than one way. By the letter of the rule, this probably isn't legal due to the width of the core being less than OEM.

Personally, I don't care about size so much as weight. Technically a smaller core is less drag but we're talking about average speeds in the 30-40 mph range here. I care mostly that you aren't lighter than OEM because that makes this a necessary item for a full tilt build. There's potential for shenanigans with really small cores but it's hard to see how you get there if it must weigh more than OEM.

Regarding no other purpose, sure, at face value you can't use a 2-in-1 solution. But then you're telling me that any radiator with oil cooler - assuming it meets all the other requirements - could be used as a radiator alone but hooking up the oil line would be illegal? That strikes me as an absurd result. Is there even such a thing as a complete standalone oil to water cooler? On this count I think it's fine. So really it depends on what's considered the radiator core.

Best would be to get specific dimensions and write to the SEB asking their ruling on such a part. Therefore if it's legal (or not) you have official documentation stating such.

@C4RBON My read is that it would have to be an exception, which is unlikely. I believe both dimension and dual function are snags. I also believe it should be allowed. I would not protest, you're carrying a good bit more weight.
