have to make your own brew now

fill with non-ethanol 98 shell/bp/caltex then add 6 litres of United E85 (its about E90) , should get you pretty close to the old P100.

You could try Caltex E-flex but its E% is only about E75 so may not work well

Or your going to have to pull another degree or so out of the base timing top end and probably another 0.7 around 2000-3500.

Just did some calculation. United E85 octane rating of 105.

6lt of E85 mix 98 fuel can only lift ron up to 98.84 ron

can see where your coming from , but P100 was 98 RON petrol with 10% ethanol.

United E85 is actually E85 and people have tested it closer to E90. The 105 ron may be the minimum rating they give it as I think E85 can actually be as low as E65 or E70 and still qualify as "E85" like caltex E-flex.

Depending on where you read ethanol is quoted at 113 RON

I have tried adding the 10-12% E85 to 98RON (non-ethanol) and seems to perform similar to P100.

@steve99

Do you have any suggestions as to what I should do with my tune with the FLKC knock that I was getting on the Dyno:

http://datazap.me/u/toy-sooby/dyno-r...og=0&data=1-10

It was a hot day and I was running 100 Octane as well.
Looks like there is no more 100 Octane to be had in Australia no more though..

Thanks.

+1 on this. For a long time I was only using v-power in my cars, mainly because the Shell servo is right around the corner from my house.

But recently I've switched to BP ultimate and no joke it makes the v-power feel like 91ron. The difference is quite noticeable.

Safe to say I'm never going back to v-power again.

I've tried P100 and Ultimate 98, and I reckon the latter comes pretty close. I've considered mixing E85 with 98 but my lazy arse thinks it'll just be too much mucking around really. Personally I'd just fill up with the BP and go on my merry way....
