I've measured about 10F degrees reduction with snorkel removed.

I thought I'd provide another update. I was 'away' from my car for over a week. No problems, went to San Francisco for a convention.

Anyhow, when I returned, I got into the car, let it warm up and drove it.

I still have my CAI V2 sound ingrained into my memory of how it sounded and felt, but less so, now being away from the car for a week and having a fresh drive. Honestly, I have to get used to this hoover vacuum cleaner intake sound, but as I mentioned before, it's staying on the car.

No performance issues with the car as well. Thanks so far. Cross the fingers.

The drive was nice. I recommend thr sound generator delete as after 6000 rpm is ridiculous. It feels like I lost some low end torque but I get more out of the powerband. Also when I press on the gas pedal, I meed to press more than usual to go but I like it, its less sensitive so I can control it better. Overall great product!

Wow that's quick! I sent my forms in the middle of this past week, I kept procrastinating about getting them in the mail.

The Intake Tube has a 1/8th threaded opening while the Barb Elbow has a 1/4th threaded nipple.

Those of you with the correct fitting parts, which is correct, is the elbow supposed to be 1/8th or 1/4th? For now, I reduced it with a 1/4 -> 1/8th adapter and a 1/8th male/male nipple as shown below.

EDIT: Just spoke to Ben @ AIRAID and it appears the tube itself has the incorrect threading. They're shipping out a new tube to me ASAP. Not sure if my reduction hack is going to cause some performance issues or other problems, so I'm just going to keep the car off the road until I get the new tube in place. Thanks to the folks at AIRAID for the quick response!

Also - at first I couldn't figure out how the firewall plug was supposed to be installed. It turns out you have to remove the stock grommet completely, then push the firewall plug in from the engine side and give the center part a good push until you feel it click.

At first I wasn't pushing it hard enough and it kept falling out, so then I tried it with the stock grommet and that didn't really work either. Then I tried different permutations from engine side as well as cabin side.
I've got the wrong elbow / tube threading also. Thanks to those that mentioned checking kit contents prior to install!! I believe that a 1/4" NPT tap should fit this port instead of a 1/8" NPT.

That is correct. The fitting is 1/4" NPT and the hole should be too. All of the tubes with the 1/8" NPT holes should be isolated and corrected by now.

David@Airaid- Would it be possible for you to mail me an extra screw when you mail my rebate? I'm just really anal about these things and need all the screws to match or I would have just slapped one in from my parts bin and called it a day.
