Why would Subaru make a "WRX Lookalike?" The 2016 WRX's are already 268-305 HP so it would make no sense to make a car that is in the same HP range. If anything, I'd think they'd bring the hothatch back for those who prefer the Sedan vs Hatch.

Because the WRX is ugly and this car isn't. It may appeal to the non rally car racer. Also someone wanting this car would walk right past a WRX

I'd still buy it.

If the new FT-1 / Supra comes in 44-50 that's what I'm truly excited for.

I don't even know what have the antonyms you people are using mean. SEO? I don't give a shit if you click it or not. I'm sitting here in my office on vacation, looking at FRS's on the internet. I found that one and it looks pretty good to me. If you think I want you to click it, I could care less if you do. Makes no difference to me.

Sorry this was brought up before. I didn't know

Lets talk about ricer wings instead
I am not accusing you of anything. Just commenting on the link. How search engine optimization works (SEO) is you search for a term or phrase in a search engine, like Google. Google has an algorithm that determines what websites should be displayed based on your words you used. This information is readily accessible to anyone.

People/ companies compete for top position in these search engines because most people are likely to click those links, see your content, or buy a product.

So someone with SEO knowledge will build content to increase the likelihood that someone will click through to their website. There are many ways to boost content. Some of it ethical and some of it not. Google, Bing, Yahoo, are not perfect. They continually try to sniff out websites like the one you posted but people are always getting more clever.

So what this person did was use available information to see there are many people searching for specific terms like 'new FR-S,' '2017 Fr-s,' et al, and designed and built a website around that on a domain about cars. On that specific page, advertisements are displayed based on your Amazon search history, for example. The only reason the page about a 2017 FR-S exists is to get you to click through and click an ad. It isn't meant to be informative. In that way it is shit. In another way, the owner is making money so who cares.

I for one like ricer wings.

It's okay. You'll soon learn that in this forum and anything you find about "rumors" for the FRS/BRZ/86 just remember you can't believe most of the things you hear. The ZN6 platform is a great platform but people always hate on it for it's power and try to make up some crazy rumor about a more hp version. The only thing I would believe is anything release from Toyota or Subaru, not any of these 3rd party sites.

So the WRX in your opinion is ugly, yet it remains one of the most popular cars sold. In this case lets make something similar to what I don't like! Yeah... that makes sense.

The only possibility I see this happening if it's a special limited edition like the new Ford Focus RS which retails for $35k+ but some dealerships are marking them way up since they're limited production.

So if they increase the power, they'll increase the pricing of the car and have to compete against a totally different market of cars in the $35k+ range and power.

I don't hate the car for its power or lack of, I love it for everything else it can do and does very well. I've had power cars but they weren't as fun as this car. Power cars only get ya so far in traffic and everyday driving. That's why the Cayman is such a hit
