Maybe I misuderstood OP comments by ON I assumed he ment got some lights or indications on dash ie Ignition ON , but car did not start.

And by OFF I assumed ignition turned off, as he never said car started or ran or idled ect.

If the car actually starts then yes the key authentication is fine.

99% of time if flash is bad car will not start, if flash fails to complete car will not start ROM is incomplete.

If somehow the tune tables are bad then it may not start but should get normal dash indication like fuel rpm ect but the flash would need to complete with the dodgy tables.

I just remembered one time I reflashed my car and the cable fell out of the OBD plug. Instant problem, I could not reload the map the car would not crank much less start. Had to get a wrecker to tow it home. The fix was a new ECUTEK License. The software said I didn't have a license so I had to send a log to a ECUTEK master tuner and got a new license.. So check your ECUTEK license and call your tuner

Solid info as usual.

The ECU in USA cars is in passenger side under glove box.

Cars doing fine now.

Moral of the story don't buy cheap adapter plugs make em yourself.
