Eventually the people that had the passion and designed the car the way it is will lose control of the project and the bean counters will have their way with a new team doing the work on the "improvements". That is the way of the automotive world.
You're probably right, but sad to think about. Still, a part of me is holding out hope it will turn out like the ND Miata - trimmer, meaner and back to its core philosophy!

Sadly, very seldom does that happen.

That is a distinct possibility as well. I don't think the design team has lost control just yet so all may be good for the first refresh at any rate.
My doom and gloom version is just my own speculation based upon historical car developments and some of the very minor changes we have seen to date (dumbing up the suspension as "improvements" a couple of times now for example)

Yeah probably a sign of things to come. Whelp, if that happens, Toyota/Subaru will lose at least one potential customer....

Saw this at SEMA. Color is something between a grey and ivory. No pearl effect or metallic sheen to it either.

Ya. Not to sure about that part. That is why I am reserving judgement until I see one in the wild. If I ever do since there has been no notice of them coming to Canada yet.

I prefer this over the RS1. Subtle; no big bodykit. Really loving the interior as well.

Also, why hasn't this or the other thread made front page? Certainly the announcement is at least important enough to warrant it.

So it's a UK spec car with an armrest and a lip? Though at half the price! If it was driven from the correct (right) side and export/import didn't cost a fortune it would be worth shipping it across the atlantic.

Does it still have the crap US regulation exhaust tips?
