Oh I meant, the reason why I never got a manual was down shifting during corners. I've driven manuals in the past for over 2 years, but most of the driving was accelerating and stopping at the red lights. This was my proper first car and I didn't want to kill the clutch on this trying to improve my skills for downshifting. I should have started with a civic or something and moved up.

Personally I take a different approach, I work with what I have and improve on my driving first. I am pretty sure the manual mode is a better than just leaving it in "D". If you are interested in having fun in corners than just straight line acceleration. There are plenty of performance driving events thru out the summer around Toronto, Ontario. Upgrade on driving mod, then dump the money on what you think is suitable. This platform is build for fun driving. If you like straight line speed or drag, this is not the car.

280-300 whp or at crank?

If whp (which would be about 300-320hp at crank), it should be 5.3-5.5 sec's.

A member running Phantom ESC with AT make ~225whp/220wtq already run 5.9s, so I think 300whp should run 5s easily

With a good set of tires, 300whp range will run in the 4s

Yep good tires, tune and a 3.73 rear end would be great. I don't understand why no one makes a 3.73 kit and Im always looking for a m85 LSD at the salvage yards.

After going FI I feel the cars gears are way to fast now and I'm shifting more than anythiny. The 3.73 would give it longer gears and 2 gear should hit 60 without a problem. Currently, we gotta jump into 3rd to hit 60 and that kills our 0-60 time. Ya sure the rearend that ships with the car is good for stock but FI it's alot of work...

I would like to thank NO ONE for making a 3.73 swap

Buy the m85 or the parts from Toyota/Lexus. It's the same parts as the other Frs final drive "kits".

Should be able to hit 12's and run mid to low 13's all day in the 1/4 with a good set of street tires. 0-60 is meaningless...

You have to get the parts from Toyota, plus the shims to get the lash correct

Is this the correct parts list for the M85 internal swap? It looks like its the same price to buy if used and beaten from ebay as it is to buy the parts new from the dealer. The image is below. I rebuilt a rear end for a friends 1990 Monte Carlo; so same concept I would think. Take you time, measure 50 times and a 6 pack of beer.

No wonder the damn M85 is hard to find. The tech is from 2005! Thank you Toyota and your old ass tech in my 2014 BRZ!

Get a 4.88 Final Drive

and the linked 0-60 calculator is SIICK btw
Get a 4.88 Final Drive. This is the first step to getting a quicker AT. You'll be amazed at how much rubber you can leave on the road. Then invest in an OFT and switch to running E85. This gets you a bit closer to that 5 second mark. Then step up to a super-charged setup with a UEL header. A supercharger can provide better low-end torque than a turbo. On E85 super-charged, this should get you under 5 seconds with a decent UEL header and a 4.88 FD. All AT's should upgrade with a UEL instead of an EL header, since AT's need low-end torque more than MT's do. The UEL's short primary's provide better low-end torque, while the longer one's provide high-end power.

This is actually is really nice game plan. Thanks KoolBRZ and everyone else. I have an OFT already and was getting logs ready for Knock correction and MAF scaling.
I'll probably get the 4.88 Final Drive at the end of this winter and then hopefully once I'm more knowledgeable a super charger after my warranty is done.
