I did 220HP and 2500lbs (best case scenario) and got 5.2

most likely this car will be geared toward the quarter mile since its a 6 seed and it will prolly be at best 6.0 sec on 0-60. id prefer it to be better at the quarter mile anyway.

I'd say the site is decent for a general idea. They just compiled a load of times with the cars stats and compared the numbers. In reality, it should take into account market choices like ratios and tires. But I do agree its nowhere near perfect, just something to think about

I don't want to break it, but I think the base will do 0-60 in about 7.5- 8 seconds assuming they put in a 2.0L engine. The STI with 305hp would be a dream come true, but at best it would do ~5.5 given the perfect dimensions. Also, wouldn't the insurance for a small car an a high hp engine be insane?

What? 204hp IS250 RWD with 3455lb can run 0-60 in 7.9 sec(can be done better because it's official 0-60 from Lexus.). How comes a car weighted under 3000lb with the same power runs about the same 0-60?
This should be, at worst, 6.8-7.0 sec.
Yes, insurance rate is insane for people under 25, but it's not the real matter.

I will say the worst case is 6.0

Com'n people whats up with these scary numbers 6.8, 7.0, 7.5 and 8.0?

Did you forget that this is not just a subie 2.0 engine? its also with

Direct injection
Toyota "Dual" VVTi
Free Revving engine
10.5 Compression Ratio
Car Weight Under 2800 LBS

Last and not least, Only god knows what is the gear ratio of this car, I hope its 3.5 and above (More like 3.7 or so)

The Lexus has a 2.5L V-6. I think realistically the car will weigh ~2900-3100 lbs with the needed safety equipment and a proper interior. Also, Toyota will want this car to get AT LEAST 30mpg in the base; that doesn't come without any trade-offs. I would rather be pessimistic and have Toyota surprise me once they announce the production version.
