Hate to break it to you but the ground is pretty "solid". The angle and force involved can be substantial.

If you do ever take it in for warranty just remember that damaged parts are never covered and they could very well deny work based on the fact you tracked it. So don't ever mention that.
And before everybody jumps on the definition of a "race event" as per the warranty exceptions we all know many warranties have been voided for track use (whether we agree with it or not) even if not a "race".

I'd try another shop... a damaged knuckle wouldn't really make a noise, unless it was bent so badly something was rubbing, or it was broken into two (or more) pieces.

What kind of noise is it making?

What kind of fktards are they?

Anything that moves is covered (It was explained to me, basically anything below 15k will be replaced without hassle! Unless, you know I filmed myself redlining doing donuts and blew my engine, then showed them the video and demanded they replaced my engine) Anything oil lubricated is also covered but under a different warranty.

FFS your car has less than 5000 miles! I can see them denying claims if it had 50k, but X<5000? Go to different dealer! Also, don't tell them you tracked it! Unless, you know, you redlined it plenty. The ECU(?) keeps track of that. 'aka the little snitch.' Then you're a tad screwed. Nonetheless, try a different dealer! I had to visit 7 dealers all the way from SoCal to Walnut Creek (N. Cal) to find a dealer I was comfortable with. Others treated me like a dimwit...maybe it was when I corrected them that a TRD exhaust and tinted windows did not make a FRS a 'special edition.' Then I visited 3 different dealers to finally get a fkn reflash on my ecu. 2014 model that had symptoms of staling and falling below 300 rpm at idle.

BTW, if you do take pics of the bearing and it is damaged, please share 'em. I don't see a bearing going bad unless you hit a sidewalk or a dead body.... not that I'd know.

I don't know crap about the warranty, most people here would be better equipped to help you.

Regarding your problem, it sounds like a damaged axel to me. Specifically, the CV joints are known to make clicking noises under power shortly before they fail. Are you lowered at all? If so, that is also known to accelerate wear on the CV joint. Either way, make sure it is checked.

Even your tire can make a humming sound.

Check if the tire got unbalanced. Does the humming occur under all speeds? Or only certain speeds?
Is it constant? Or does it come and go (like a pulsing hum?)

We balanced and rotated the tires and the noise persisted, so we ruled out tires. The hum comes as a pulse above 60kph, gets louder the faster you go. The left side of the steering vibrates when in motion. We suspect the knuckle isn't making proper contact with the bearing.

Man I redline in 2nd gear all the time, after its been warmed up. But its not the motor thats broken at this point. It sounds like a part that is moving in the front wheel. We did the doing slight turns side to side to confirm its something affecting the bearing because it changes in loudness when you turn right, stay straight and go left.

Nothing wrong with hitting the redline, but an over revving condition is something they might look for from the ECU.

Interesting why only 60km/h and above, even on really perfect flat tarmac like the middle lane of the 404?

Where does it state wear and tear items are covered for 15k miles? I've never seen anything like that in any published warranty.

The bearing is pressed into the hub, which bolts into the knuckle. If you replaced the whole hub assembly, I highly doubt it's an issue with how it's fitting. If it weren't in all the way, it wouldn't hum like that. If you pressed the bearing into the hub, it's possible the bearing was damaged while pressing it in, but doubtful.

Does the noise get worse if you turn left, and better if you turn right? Did you check the right rear bearing? If it doesn't change as you load up the right side, it's probably not a bearing.

Do you have other tires to try? It could be a shifted belt as well. Did the corner the noise is coming from change after rotating the tires?

The noise gets louder when you load the left by turning right and less loud when you load the right by turning left.

Why did you replace the right front bearing if the symptoms point to left side?
