It was pure luck. When I moved into my current house I eventually saw this car a few times, but wouldn't have had the money to pick it up anyways. Then car gets wrecked, get settlement money, and a week later I finally get a chance to talk to the owners about buying it cause he happened to be going the same direction as me for a change. I definitely didn't pay the usual markup for these suckers, but I didn't short change em either. Old man put it best:"its worth what I'm willing to let it go for."

Like your avatar! Went to Purdue for a year (2002-2003). Stayed in hilltop my first semester cause Cary quad was being renovated in a few wings. Second semester spent in tarkington Hall.

That's awesome, congrats! My uncle tells me stories about finding cars for cheap. People getting rid of them b/c "won't start, don't know why" and he would put a new battery in it and clean up the connections and drive it out of their garage... much to their dismay XD

Fellow Boilermakers are always fun to meet. I've been in some of those dorms. Had a lot of friends living there. I actually didn't spend my freshman year at Purdue, so I only lived in apartments during my 3 years there. Good times indeed.
