Did they do any foot-protection on it? Also did you retain the OEM dash bar or did they install a new dash bar? Our cage builder is still debating the OEM dash bar v. full replacement.

Mike, I definitely opted for less protection and lighter weight due to this being a time attack car vs a wheel to wheel car. I decided to keep my oem dash beam as my car has heat and did have AC (pulled it for external oil pump testing).

I honestly felt the oem dash beam was very good so I didn't feel I had to ditch it which saves a ton of fab if a ton of oem stuff is kept. Dylan builds rally cages so they could have gone all out but I like being a little dangerous Hahaha

Very nice. Yeah we will likely keep the OEM dash bar as well as we require all the HVAC Controls/Heater Core (Not the AC items though) to be kept intact for Spec86 Cup Series rules. Racing up in the Northeast there are many spring and fall events where heat for defrosting/defogging come in handy.

@Element Tuning

Waking this thread from the dead...

I also have an autopower race roll bar that is bolted/welding in. Did that factor in the cost and/or complexity having to remove it for the new cage?

Hahaha I don't get messages anymore sorry.

My Autopower was not welded in, I had plates welded down, and then I bolted to those. They just cut off what they had to but yes any additional labor to remove cages, interior, etc. I'm sure adds to you bottom line.

The fabrication work, fit and finish, welding, is all second to none and I would highly recommend cage work from them.
