Driving through OR in 1990 the attendant forgot to put my gas cap back on and I didn't realize it until the next gas stop a couple hundred miles away. You say how could that happen, well he closed the filler door and I didn't reopen it to check. I would have gotten a replacement but it was a Sunday so nothing was open. Unfortunately it rained that night and the truck wouldn't start until the next day when it dried out.

I've had the door slammed on my leg in NJ when I tried to get out of the car to go to the bathroom. I don't know if it's part of the law but they usually want you to stay put until they're done and then you can move away and get out. Every time I've gotten gas there the attendant always tries to squeeze the last drop into the tank. As we all (should) know this can create real problems if the evap canister gets fuel in it. It also wrecks mpg calculations...

It's New Jersey. Gas up north or south of it and drive straight through!
