Everybody does things differently and likes different things. Do you want other people building your car based on what THEY like, or do you want to build the car based on what YOU like. Get it, drive it, love it, mod it to what you think it "needs" based on your own personal preferences. Doesn't matter what other people have done to their cars because you might not like any of it! Only way to know is to get the car and do a lot of research!

Let us know if you have any specific questions that searching couldn't answer..

I can tell you what I would want to change but I can't tell you what you would want to change.

I am in a same boat as well. I recently bought my FRS and I love the car and how it feels on the road. In my head, I want to upgrade everything! But, for me I want to learn to feel and get used to the car first before modding seriously. Only thing I've done is adding in K&N drop in filter and felt like a big boy already.

I would say drive it first and see how the car behaves on the road. Some things you like or you don't like, you probably mod them later to your taste. For me, I'm just enjoying my ride as it is.

Get yourself at least a catback to go with that drop in and your world will be rocked.

TRD Wheels are sweet, get those. I picked up a set of Enkei wheels to give my car a more personalized look. After selling my OEM wheels the new wheels only cost me $400. I kept the stock tires and TPMS.

Catback if you want it to sound aggressive - if doing nothing but this I recommend Perrin non resonated, I have it and it sounds perfect.

Tint

Leather seat covers - these greatly improved my DD experience. Stock seat material is very hard to keep clean and can get hot in the summer.

get a can of plastidip and go to town on your car. just get it over with. most noobies get fascinated when they discover it and end up spraying everything they can on a stock car anyway lol.

once thats out of your system, by this time you should have a better and clearer idea of what you want to do to your car, and what not to do. lol

The mods the OP mentioned are reasonable mods right out of the gate. I bought mine with the windows already tinted and it was worth every penny I didn't spend on it. My tint is 35% which is the legal limit in MD and makes the car look more smooth and keeps the sun from killing me.

As for the beatsonic sharkfin, I would look into the OEM one from the 2015. It costs a little more but replaces the factory antenna rather than sitting over top of it.

Hold off on wheels until you at least wear out your stock tires. It will give you some time to make up your mind as to what you want to buy.

See if you can find some locals and hang out with them. Hearing exhaust in person and seeing the mods first hand always works better than looking at pictures or YouTube videos.

Thanks for all the feedback, much appreciated! As I said total noobie to the whole car mod stuff. Really into the TRD wheels but recently saw the XXR 530 and those are badass and seems to be a bit cheaper.
Any suggestions of tires, or rim size or what lowering kit?
