The other day I got ticketed for my front tint. I'm military and my home of record is Texas. I can't find anything on out of state vehicles not having to comply with California vehicle codes. I've gone 2 years with no front license plate and tinted windows with no issues. The moment I leave a stop light at night and spin the tires a little in 2nd gear I get pulled over. I'm just glad he didn't make me open my hood.

Yeah! My loudest side has a silencer on too. I didn't see the cop but I was driving normally.

Yea that's why you keep the OEM exhaust if you replace with a loud exhaust

If I had another exhaust I'd let you borrow my. I'm sure other owners that have one lying around wouldn't mind lending you the stock exhaust

Front windshield ticket...but no side window tint ticket. Ticketed by CHP on the 605 S Ramp near El Monte and Ramona.

Ripped the tint off myself - $0
Inspection and sign off by Sheriff - $0
Court Fees - $25

Paid with American Express and got 1% cashback

I have tint and no front plate. I know eventually I will get caught, but not sure if I would rock a side plate or just chance it again.
Hey @swarb!! I was talking to an ex chp the other night at the arcadia meet. He was stationed in the east la area and told me most CHP around there didn't care about the front plate. It was only a 10$ fine and mostly a waste of time for them to pull you over for it. It was usually how much free time they had.
