You will be fine. I might drop to 4k intervals and do a UOA on it to see if you can go back to 5k intervals. Which oil cooler are you considering?

Not one yet, still prepping the car for the upcoming season since I just bought it a few months ago.

Plan is to go with the Jackson Racing NA oil cooler since it has the largest core, and doesn't mount to splash guard/undertray.

Good call. We went with the Perrin/Setrab unit for availability and pricing. We mounted ours to the bumper beam as you pointed out one doesn't want to mount to the splash guard.

What temps were you seeing last year?

Haven't been out yet with this car, last track car was a barely street-legal Miata that was only used at the track.

Since this car is new, and still owed money on, I'm doing all the reliability stuff first so hopefully I don't have any problems with it.

Let me know if you are interested in a Crawford AOS as that was my first mod and like you I owe money on the project BRZ so I go for protection mods first. Also the p3cars vent gauge is a great setup if you want a slick stock looking gauge setup.

Shoot us a PM as we can ship anywhere and love to chat with Other track people.
