It is strange because I have the total opposite thoughts. People seem to stay well away from me now. On one of the very, very, rare occasions my wife rode with me she even commented about how far back everybody seemed to stay even when stopped.
May be because the cars are relatively rare here and many people thinks it is some expensive exotic and don't want to pay for damage.
Don't know why but I will take it!

I've surmised that when they are staying back it's the elephant/mouse thing. They're afraid that if they get too close they'll slip and roll over us. Unfortunately they don't do a good enough job of staying away...

Try this one if you are indeed a clutch vet and want that biting point closer to the floor

Clutch helper spring removal DIY - http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35621
Removing the helper spring fixed most of it for me. It went from being a fisher price my first clutch to being semi normal. It took me a long time to get the adjustment right but I think i've dialed it in now.

As for the gas pedal.. Gah I hate it so much. I wish I could start a movement to get rid of all drive by wire systems.. Hell it just seems dangerous! I swear its like everyone trusts electronics over good ole mechanical systems. In 50 years I wonder which one would fair better..

Likely the electronics with no moving parts to wear out!
Ever had a return spring break or a linkage jam at Wot?
Guess there are pluses and minuses no mater how they do it.
I remember many years ago fighting to get throttle linkages on a Dodge 6 pack just right and thinking "There has got to be a better way".

There is a better way.. Its called two holley double pumpers on a tunnel ram

But I do know what you mean.. I had my 78 z28 camaro out at the track and was going around a corner and my throttle cable fell off.. One twisty tie later and I was back out there though!

Found a great solution to the shiity feel of the drive by wire.
I took the car back to Ptuning, and they created 4 maps for throttle response with the Ecutech chip-

Map 1 felt better than stock
Map 2 felt twice as good as Map1
Map 3 gave me a chubby
Map 4 feels like launching the space shuttle

The tech told me while I'm trying the Maps, I will only have 6psi. Once I decide which map, they will set that for the default and then I can toggle back and forth between 6 and 10psi. The throttle feels perfect now, and I'll probably settle for Map 3. Having the four options is so much fun, I may just leave it like it is, I hardly use the 10psi anyway.

Go for Map 4 so you can be the first FR-S in space. Bound to happen sooner or later.
