Vortech is also on the CARB short list.

Yes you are correct. Dezoris had a great review of that kit. Also a very good option.

Yah, with all the earlier kits like innovate, vortech, avo, they had their kinks to iron out and now they're all great! The newer kits have the benefit of that knowledge too - these new TVS kits look really interesting though. No knock on sprintex and their great product, from the mini scene I know the TVS units they were fabbing produced a lot more power. That said, if you're looking for a good power boost and have E85 the intercooled innovate kit we already have hits the right point before you start to pour money into brakes, clutch, engine internals, etc.

Btw speaking of vortech, there's one going for $1,700 in the classified section. Sweet ass deal if anyone wanted a sc. Not sure how the whole CARB thing works but I'm just throwing it out there.

The Harrop is the most appealing for me now, just hoping it will use a 1320 tvs.

You get what you pay for, more times than most. If I had that kind of money it'd be a comparison with the cosworth sc vs the ptuning turbo kit for my setup.. instead of innovate vs avo.

No way man, that's crazy talk!

Seriously it sounds like that will be the big deal about these TVS blowers - more 'headroom' with smaller pulleys than the Sprintex unit, which maxes out pretty quickly. But as you say, nobody really knows until they're out and being pushed.

Edit: referring to the smaller sprintex unit, obviously the 335 has tons more potential, but it seems like there's some difficulty in detuning it to run on non-built motors - i.e. more than the 250whp sprintex 210 but not enough to overstress a stock-ish motor.
