They could sell the struts to more people if the mounts were adjustable, since some people, (me for instance) want it tall for the street, and short for the track. Or, for instance, tall for winter, and short for summer. A strut without adjustable mounts is less versatile and therefore, worth less money.

Doug, do you know if the mounts themselves are threaded, or do you lose travel when lowering them?
