Ned u sound angry LoL... damn it lol...... back to op take it to shop & replicate it with a tech in car. My camry use to have this hum at exectly 61mile after I had some small accident (ran over falling rocks & had to replace the entire exhaust) man, it was worrying. lol

I have what I like to refer to as a "Prius-like" whir when taking off. Sounds like a belt. It's most noticeable above 2500 rpms.

If you have an aftermarket crank pulley, that could be the cause.
My kartboy had this - typically from about 2,500rpm-4,000rpm.

The pulley itself is fine - just that the design causes air to "whistle" at certain ranges.

Just get an exhaust to drown it out.

No, not really, but it is one of my pet peeves.
Ask a question on a vague subject that takes more then the sense of sight to answer then pay no attention to the replies!
My car smells funny, what can cause that?
I have these spots on my paint but no picture what is it?
I have a strange sound should I be worried?
My tires don't taste like my Honda's did?
Oh you have an answer? No that isn't it!!!!!!!!!
