My 2 cents.
I doubt anyone is gonna spend that kind of money and then still have to paint match to their car. That is if they can even find a place to sell them these withouht a valid RS VIN.

So don't worry. Your car is still special and there wont be 1501 or whatever else out there.

Woah $370!?

Also, thanks for the parts number anyone know of a good TRD website for parts?

Also the R.S. will be special, then they'll come out with another edition so dont get too comfy on that pedestal way up there

It's like the people wanting a ferrari but they don't have the money to buy one so the slap a emblem on their FR-S we have all seen the photos.
So with your logic your driving a fake gt86. If the parts are legit then how exactly does a paint color deem it real? Your argument is invalid because it applies to a different car. It's not like people couldn't get these parts before the RS was released either hence "Your logic is flawed" still...

You will and should never be allowed to buy the TRD shift trim with the limited release number. Also, can anyone confirm if one can tell a RS from its VIN?

Go do your homework it's a Scion Release Series 1.0 not a GT86 everyone on this forum will tell you this body kit isn't the same as the JDM 86 or Euro 86 kits so it's unique.

These cars don't have the same body kit as the RS 1.0.

Is the RS1.0 TRD Quad different than the JDM Quad? Axleback or full catback?

Yes, just like all RS before as well as the 10 series. VINs tell you everything

Both the JDM TRD and TRD RS 1.0 exhaust systems are axleback and to answer your question yes they are different.

The "TRD JDM" tips engraving is on the inside lips of the exhaust tips vs the "TRD RS 1.0" which is on the side of the tips.
Plus the exhaust tips are a different style.

This. They are all 86's. Although some people are willing to pay more to get something that's somewhat slower.

FRS RS 1.0 Part Numbers - Have these been posted yet?

Yup, I can look the VIN up and tell what options it had, in service date, warranty/recalls, etc.

I'd like the wheel and shifter but that is way too much money. I'll find some JDM TRD bits when I'm in Japan in April.
