Hate to break it to you but we do! Just not as obvious as theirs.
Over 40% of my salary goes to income tax (you US guys really want "free" health care). Then what spending power I have left get hit with 13% on every sale.

I do like that the UK pricing is listed as on-the-road. I've come to expect to have to add tax myself to everything I buy, but personally I can't stand the add-ons for delivery, dealer fees, etc. As far as I'm concerned that should be built into the price of the product. You don't walk into a store and have to pay an extra fee on your groceries for shipping and to keep the lights on - there's a cost of doing business built into the price.

Taxes are always annoying. Nova Scotia is the highest in Canada now I thought, might be wrong. We're at 15% sales tax.

Trust me us Aussies have it worse than you guys.
Especially living in Sydney - not only cars are expensive, house, food, transportation, everything.

Don't know about there but in Ontario we have to pay a "delivery" fee for hydro (above and beyond the usage charge). It isn't like we can pick it up or anything.
Businesses also have to pay a fee for the difference in price between what it cost to produce and the rate at which it is sold to the States! So if it cost 10 cents per KWH hour to produce and they sell it for 2 cents we pay the difference. There is ALWAYS a difference!

Americans are stupid. I'm american and I work in the health industry. They want everything for free but don't want to pay for it.

For the most part, obamacare screwed over more people in more ways than imagined.

Back on topic. Its nice to see the lower trim levels available elsewhere.

In Australia we have this wonderful tax called the LCT (Luxury Car Tax). Not only are our cars generally quite expensive to begin with, but after a threshold you pay 33% LCT on the remaining amount. Its how a 911 Turbo costs $400k AUD or a GTR costs 200k+ in the land down under.

I may be a tad off, but I believe the LCT kicks in on a regular car after 56k and then 75k if the car consumes less than 7L/100km combined city/freeway.

This is on top of other taxes on the car purchase and registration.

That said a regular GT86 is around 33k AUD (drive away) negotiable. None of that pure price rubbish our US friends have to deal with when purchasing an FRS

For those that are having trouble. Tax on the £22500 Gt86 in the uk is about £3500. Not sure there the $10k came from!

Delivery charges vary. BMWs for example for insane. So its nice to have an on the road price including 1 years of road tax.

I think its easy for the price of the purchase to creep up with all the little added charges.... at least you know it expensive in the first place

They ARE brown!
Without the clear coat it looks like a colour out of the 1984 K car line up.
Yeah, but the outside doesn't... lol. I would think they would try to make the render look as close to the actual exterior color as close as possible.

The render is exactly the colour of mine right now with heavy overcast.
Only looks orange in the bright sun.
They are in England so it is possible they have never seen it bright orange so don't know it changes colour! (JOKE)

No. There are no single BRZ/FR-S/GT86/86 produced for any market with the light headliner. That is just some weird rendered picture which gives such an impression.

No f...ing way! Make it look as the rest of the boring Toyota line-up of vegetable transports?

Headliner in a good car, particulary sports car has to be dark! Thank you Toyota for understanding this!
