I know we have discussed this previously, but I still say a turbo is the way to go. It isn't the easy way, but you can control the boost and make your maximum horsepower at a lower RPM and maximize your area under the curve within the rules.

well i am not good at taking pictures and being regular on it but here is the engine bay for our suspension testings, GC camber plate and stress bar, 3.5 lbs battery, lightweight pulley kit and Moroso AO seperator. We also did a quick bracket for the broken air box while we wait on the final decision for the engine mods.

In no particular order, had to modify the Perrin shifter bushing because the aluminum driveshaft now sits too high because of the subframe and diff raiser solid bushings. Damn that driveshaft was a lot of work to make it fit in the tunnel.

taking out all the e-brake stuff, so sad, everything is looking new with only 3k miles on the car. Usually on the cars i work on everything is rusty and discusting.

rear back plate before and after since we don't need the e-brake.

Very nice. Those studs need a good cleaning . The perrin shifter bushing/al driveshaft fitment is a known issue. I'm ready to take out my hand-brake too, but only because I don't need it in the cabin. Haven't really looked at removing it from the hub. How much work was it?

I actually replaced the studs with longer ARP studs since then, just didn't take any pics of them.

it really isn't all that much work, you need to remove the bearing to take out the plate but it can be unscrewed from the back without taking the axles off, very well thought of Toyota.

Also, you can leave the plate in place just take the mechanic out of it and leave the plate there, i just wanted extra cooling for the brakes and looking to save every ounce we can. I might make an aluminum bracket to replace that thick steel one, in a winter project some day maybe.

Also, i beleive we would have had fitment issue if we leaved the cables there with our driveshaft from memory so they really had to come out.

Car currently weight 2230 lbs, we still have the doors, trunk, both bumpers and bumper covers, rear wing and front splitter, fire extinguisher system, cool shirt kit, the supercharger and a couple of other stuff. Still on stock exhaust though which will lower the weight. We should be around 2400 lbs with everything finished
