Was about a week before that, so that means there is another lucky new white BRZ owner around here.

Wish I was you. Havent driven mine on any exciting roads as yet. Longest trip was to Limpopo and no fun there. Just straight roads.

Enjoy the trip.

Its not that long unfortunately and quite narrow but still beautiful. It's the road leading to Walkersons Hotel and Spa off the R540 (GPS: -25.350737, 30.173903).

Aha!! Interesting to see the road goes down.
Initially, I thought it was up.

One day when I can afford to go to places like Walkersons, then I'll know about roads like this - LOL

Oh WOW, Robbers Pass is amazing/awesome/incredible.
Sadly, I'm very careful going down it nowdays because I had a brake problem in my old Sani there and nearly bought it. We'd been 4x4'ing and trout fishing in the mountains, and a pebble jammed in the brake caliper - huh? Yep, just enough to push the pad gently against the disk which caused it to overheat. Catastrophic front brake fade is terrible. I can assure you it's even worse when it affects only one side!!

YIKES!! "Catastrophic front brake fade" is not fun at all but I can imagine it being much worse if it's only on one side.

Robber's is awesome, but the water running down the mountain and over the road is a problem with so many blind corners.
