and then when I click to see the thread and it's the same bullshit over and over again.
"Is the 2015 FR-S/BRZ gonna be turbo??"
GTFO!

some of us would rather spend 30 minutes instead of 8 hours removing our turbo kit to take it to the dealer for warranty work.

also 185 tq at 2.5k rpm for 1/2 to 1/3rd price of conventional turbo.

That seems pretty rude but I see you getting into lots of little pissing matches with people on this forum so I shouldn't have expected an intelligent post lol.

if you believe shiv@vishnu is committing fraud with his OFT tune for the esc, and his dyno posts on the setup then I don't think there is anything that will change your mind.
Have a wonderful day.

The gains of the Phantom ESC were proven on this platform. Obviously any random POS ESC kit you get from eBay probably won't do anything but waste time/money but the Phantom kit is legit, and designed to work on the car with a tune.

Still doesn't bode well for warranty work if it caused the problem.

What the fuxk are you talking about?

Your statement is quite clear, in that it says that you take parts off your car prior to taking it to the dealer. The only reason would be doing that, is because you're worried the esc might compromise a warranty claim. So you hide the fact that you're running it.

That's fraud my friend. Plain and simple.

I'm saying YOU are commiting fraud. Not the tuner.

NM, I thought were calling the esc a fraud.

And you may call it fraud, but do you also call it fraud when the dealer denies a claim on bad tranny because you have modded hood lifts and led's? I have heard too many examples of denied claims due to irrelevant mods to give them any reason to cancel my warranty coverage. you may call it fraud, I call it intelligent problem solving. If I blow the engine due to over boost or running lean due to bad tune, then trying to get it covered under warranty, sure I would agree with calling it fraud. But there are many things that can go wrong with the car that might not be associated with the mods, and I don't want to have to fight to have them covered if they fail on their own. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47531

unfortunately jpit had issues and had it towed to the dealer with his mods in place, so when the problem is found, he may have a very difficult time getting it covered regardless of his mods association.

Update - Service dept. hasn't had a chance to find the problem but the first thing they said to me was that it wouldn't be covered under warranty. I started to explain warranty
regulations but it fell on deaf ears. Should be the start of a fun week.

Mine did the same thing when I tried to install my vacuum cleaner motor for more boost. The car threw a code stating "sucks".

The dealer would have to prove your mods caused the problem. If they can not prove it. You're fine. Next time, save your money until you can afford a mechanical blower. Otherwise CAI, exhaust, and tunes are a great start.
