I shall keep the car for 15 years until my son has a license. It would be a perfect first car for him.

Will trade it in before winter, found out I'm a very chill driver and I'm not using this car as intended, I need a "grampa mobile"

My BRZ is a replacement for my prior daily driver (1994 Honda Prelude Si) which was forced into retirement last summer with 391,100 miles.

Conditions willing, I plan on keeping the BRZ as a daily driver for at least 80% of my Prelude's useful life.

As an aside, I still have my 2001 AP1 S2000 (with 37,000 miles) which I will own forever.

That said, next car to add to the garage will either be the next NSX (should it ever reach production) or a Nissan GT-R.

I don't plan to get rid of it, although it will be supplanted as a daily driver at some point. I made that mistake with my MK1 MR2, should have kept it, fixed it and still have it in the garage.

At some point I might give it to one of my sons. Probably in my will!

I have three possible "upgrades":
BMW i8, Porche Cayman variant or a yet unannounced Tesla coupe. I think all three will be under 100k in the next 3 years.

To be clear I don't see those specific models as comparable or even similar to the Twins, just three cars that I am very interested in owning one day.

I've driven the Integra, Prelude, 240sx, BMW Z4, RSX-S, S2K, 300Z, Celica & Celica All-Trac, MR2 & MR2 turbo, and 3 generations of the Civic SI.

There's no doubt in my mind.. I want to eventually replace my 86 with another 86!

Did you put down-payment on the lease?
