i blame the people at toyota, for one we arent even getting any hint on when future news may come, and secondly they arent even trying to negate the rumors that are killing everyone's hopes. and yeah everyday i hear less official info and more bad rumors that Genesis looks better and better

Can still find them used. The problem with this forum, at least for me, is the severe lack of new info. Toyota gave us just enough at the beginning to get us to start salivating but they've not continued that trend. Our mouths have dried up and there's nothing new to go on. The rumors seem to be going backwards, albeit they're still rumors. Frankly, I'm tired of waiting.

Why should anyone wait two years just to buy a car you know no facts about yet?

Everyone has their points, choose you side and stick with it.
It's really long to wait, but from the very start, we all know that we have to wait that long. I'm waiting...

That's all fine and dandy. If I find something worth my time, I will buy it and drive it in the meanwhile. No car has had permanent spot in my garage so far, and I don't think that any car ever will..... except maybe an LFA or RUF RT12, but I haven't been able to afford those yet so....

Right, I can't guarantee that I will put the FT-86 in a perm spot yet either, and lacking of info from TMC is killing us. However, I still want to see the direction they are going, compete with CR-Z or next gen RX-7.
In other note, If you're able to afford LFA, you will not trade in and sell any cars of yours, unless you start to hate it.

Feh. I'm still paying off my car. I got a couple years to wait. An FT-86 would rock, but ultimately it depends on what's new (or at least Newish) by the time I have my car paid off.

How does that mean we are not serious about the car?

Would you put a down payment on the car right now with the information that is out now with no guarantee the car will stay that way? If you are then you are nothing but a fan boy. I love the idea behind this car as much as the next guy but I am looking for a new car in a years time. If we can get some things CONFIRMED about FT86 then I may decide to wait for it but I am not going to stand here with my **** in hand waiting.

We don't need to be spoon fed but we are getting NOTHING. Many people want a new car now or in the near future and without a confirmed release YEAR or confirmed production specs or confirmed production body style, how can you expect them to wait for it?

Last Toyota official person said was 2011 or was it 2012? (from the Geneva show). So I'm still betting/praying on 2011~2012. Delay rumor and other bs isn't provided with any Toyota person, so I'm not listening it at all.

I'm not a car collector. Never keep more cars than I can drive.
