Saw a TRD exhaust being sold on the forum for close to $300 a few months back. I'd post a WTB thread for it or look around to see if anyone is selling theirs with low mileage.

If you wait a little over a week, I can give you a side by side video of my car (Tsudo) and another stock FR-S/BRZ.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but, how does the sound of the 2.5" compare to that of the 3" catback?

I would prefer to keep the volume on the quiet side, and nothing that screams aftermarket. I am mainly just looking for a bit of a deeper and fuller sound. From the few videos I've seen of it, it looks like the Tsudo has the sound I'm looking for, but was curious how the volume compares to stock.

Would anyone recommend looking at anything else? I've also considered the Q300 and the TRD, but I can't justify the price.

Thanks!

I went with the Perrin Resonated 3" Cat Back
I was in the same boat as you; I was looking at the N1 but didnt like how the tips were angled/not flush with the rear bumper, plus it seems as though everybody has that system.

Do yourself and your car a favor and def go with Perrin. You will be glad you did

The thing about the n1 that turned me off the most about it is the fact that the cans are pointing strait out. Reminds me so much of a honda...I love the sound though.

If you were interested in a quiet exhaust, the 2.5" resonated would be my next recommendation.

The 3" exhaust system is not the quietest, but it does sound amazing in my opinion!

I'm always available through PM if you have any questions!

You do realize that "strait" out is the better exhaust path right? (It's also a little cheaper to make.)

Thanks for the help, it's my second favorite so far! I've checked out the sound clips and love the sound, but it's just tough to argue with the Tsudo price point. I'll make my decision once I can make a better comparison

Go to a exhaust shop, my friend did a 3" turbo back for $250.

Hi amaciose,

If you’re looking for an exhaust to give your BRZ a deeper, more aggressive sound, check out the cat-back system (part #140496) we offer for your car. This system will give your car a meaner, throatier sound, while still avoiding drone and keeping the volume lower inside the cabin. Our engineers at Borla work hard to design each exhaust specifically for each vehicle. With that being said, you can expect gains in horsepower/torque, better sound, and an accurate fitment with our cat-back. This system comes with polished 4.25” tips, is made of high quality, 300-series austenitic stainless steel, and comes with our Million Mile Warranty.

I’ve included a couple video links below to show what the exhaust sounds like on the outside and in the cabin. If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call at 805-986-8600. Happy exhaust hunting!
