I get that, and I have had modded cars for years. I have never however looked under someones hood and said to myself "I love the supercharger/nitrous/turbo/headers/etc., but what I REALLY love about this car is the radiator and oil cap..."

Good info about the pressure difference though.

This is honestly a legit question, I seriously don't see the point.
Simply to have a little TRD theme under the hood
Already have the intake, might as well get other small parts to go with it.
Thanks for the input guys!

Got my parts yesterday, but having trouble putting on the radiator cap.
Anyone else had trouble with this?
Any advice to help put it on?
Thanks.

Does it turn like it is supposed to before it 'pops' off? If it turns, I would check that the tabs are in the correct position. (Pushed in far enough to hold like its supposed to.)

Are you sure it's the correct type of cap? There are several different TRD caps for different types of radiators. If the cap doesn't look like you stock one with a small inner plug and short depth it's probably a cap for some other car and radiator type. The difference is in the spring so it should physically look the same as your stock cap.

Now that I take a closer look, the tip does look bigger, but I thought that's how it was supposed to be :/

As you can see from my build thread I have just a few TRD parts!

My supplier preference to ensure service and genuine parts are:
1. Local TRD supplier (we get club prices and freight is cheap)
2. Japanparts.com (careful as most stuff for RHD, ok for me though)
3. Nigel JDM Parts (most stuff for LHD)

I only use Ebay or places like Dx.com or Alibaba knowing that it is likely to be fake. I got $8 seatbelt pads but have since swapped out for genuine ones. Now my only non-genuine TRD parts are carbon overlay on my steering wheel (TRD don't make one), my Monster mats and Aluminium floor plate.

I'll take a radiator cap photo for you to compare to yours in the morning (night time here).

Here's photos of the genuine one for you to compare. Comes off and goes on really easily.

Fuel "cap" I wouldn;t worry about - even the genuine one id simply a plastic cover that goes over the original fuel cap.

eBay just a platform. Pick sellers carefully and you'll be fine. Bought tons of TRD stuff from Japex-Trading, first from eBay and then directly - all 100% genuine and at reasonable price. Ships from Japan.
