I was originally thinking of having carpet in the driver and passenger side only. For the rear have some sort of cover/panels where the rear seats would be so it would basically look like a 2 seater rather than a 2+2.
2 seat option would be great for track day.

This this this and all this. I think the track model needs to be lotus like. Honestly, I don't see the point of having the options in the regular model, but as I've said many time before the track model needs to be/have;

-roll up windows
-no rear seats
-ac delete option
-radio delete option
-no carpets (i like the quick remove tab idea... but really? now? With that sudden acceleration thing? nah)
-no sun/moon roof
-manual only
-aftermarket Wheel options with high grip tyres

aside from the requisite stiffer suspension and bigger brakes of course.

Right, the stereo was an option on the 04 STi. I would say 99% of dealers who had one on the lot put a radio in the car anyways, but if you ordered one and didn't opt or the package it only came with the 16 valve symphony under the hood.

Why? You can't go and buy them yourself? I honestly would rather buy the steelies, mount some winter tires on them and then go wheel and tire shopping. Win-win.

Can someone enlighten me as to what to do when your windows foggin up and you have no defroster? Cause I'm clueless as how to go about it.

current car use AC in the beginning to defrost the window, but my RS don't. So I just use low heat and then heat up.

Right. I can go with wheelies/ small wheels(15". 16"). I will get aftermarket wheels anyway.

I agree with this and yes I would check the a/c and radio option box.

Cry me a river. It'd be the same as having steelies, except that large brakes don't fit under them.

oh, and you crack a window when you have no defogger. Like you'd be heading to do hot laps in the winter?

If you are gonna DD it, why would you buy the "track" model?

you guys are silly.

i might prefer the track version, but only if it still has:

rear seats
carpeting
radio
hvac
stiffer suspension
better brakes
lsd

if i buy one, it'll be my summer daily driver, and sometimes autox/trackday car. it's not a freaking race car.
