Ah you're talking about "fuel efficiency". I was referring to compressor efficiency - i.e. centrifugal compressors produce less heat during compression compared to twin screw superchargers or roots. The benefits of the latter is lots of low end power, but with the downside of less top end power. A variable drive centrifugal compressor could provide the "heat efficiency" of a centrifugal compressor with the nice fat power curve of a positive displacement unit.

I wonder how much of that efficiency difference is consumed by the supercharger's transmission.

Not sure, would be interested to find out vs other setups like Rotrex planetary drives. Also wonder how reliable that drive is. Neat idea though.

How do you like it usmc fr-s? Any numbers on power? I like the concept considering kraftwerks eats belts.
