would've been nice months ago but with open flash tablet and unichip it would just be redundant for the most part

Just speculating given their history:
I think the only reason Cobb has avoided the twins is because it's not turbo charged from the factory (where as the rest of their tuner market is).
If it were I bet they would be all over it. I'm sure they can do it fairly quickly and easily if they wanted.

As mentioned above with things like the OpenFlash tablet and the typical price point of the Cobb AP they are already too late in the game. Although there will always be loyal Cobb users for sure regardless of price.

Since there is no turbo stock you cant make "cheap power" with just a tune by upping the boost and slapping on a corresponding map to make it work.

So there won't be a real way to advertise it. Instead of "ZOMG +30 HP AND TQ FOR JUST $19.95"

They would have to make very specific maps for very specific modifications.

I would buy an AP regardless of price.

Nope, I wouldn't buy it. Simply because they've stated that they had no interest in an accessport for out platform. They couldn't even provide a, "we'll maybe we'll focus on your platform, on a later date." It's always been a pretty short and simple "no"

And I don't believe in the "if we get enough interest" bs...they know the interest is there, but obviously it's not enough for them to do anything. Oh well, there's other stuff out/coming out for our cars.

I appreciate the response from everyone today in 1 day I managed to get 41 votes on the poll. Let me just state that I know COBB tuning really likes to work with turbo cars, but they have been debating about the ap for the twins for awhile. Some might say they might have missed the boat but I feel like with the ever increasing aftermarket products that are coming out for the twins they still have a chance to make a really good ap for the twins. There was a confirmed prototype they where working on but no word on if its been scrapped. It could still be in the works for all we know. The point of this thread was to figure out if anyone would be interested in the COBB access port, and seems like we got a lot of interest ! Im going to be speaking to some of the corporate people at COBB, once they get back from sema . I got there personnel number from a friend who was at Sema. So will see how it goes. Its never to late.

More options = better. I've already gone with Vishnu Performance's Open Flash Tablet but competition breeds innovation. I say more power to them!

It would have made sense for Cobb to invest the R&D time and money on this platform when it was first released, or even when ECUTek was the only game in town. Now the market is saturated with ECU tuning solutions covering the spectrum from piggybacks like unichip, reflashes like ECUTek, BRZedit, OpenFlashTablet and ECUFlash, and even full standalones like Hydra. There isn't much meat left on the bone for Cobb at this point (especially when one of those options is free and 2 other options are likely cheaper than what the Cobb AP would cost.)

I voted yes and not because I will buy one, just because the more options the better for all of us.. Why not??

More options are absolutely better,

but they should have had the foresight to jump on the market from the start. Especially given the hype the platform had.

They also last i knew weren't doing anything with the fa20dit in the new forester, even though realistically it would probably give them a leg up on the new wrx/sti when they eventually hit the market considering it will probably be nearly the same engine with a different turbo.

Seems like cutting off your nose to spite your face imo.

They clearly have the hardware side hammered out, the v3 ap looks like a damn nice part. So, whats some time sticking a few software monkeys in a dark room with a case of red bulls and an ip block on reddit?
