I've driven both FWD and AWD TTs, but will concede victory here to the twins. I suppose it depends what you're trying to do and how fast you want to do it.

If the twin and the TT is close, then 10,000 and reliability will put twin into the favor, also the twin cost less to maintain as well.

Isn't that all we need ? Have fun with cheap set of tires, donut, xcross, drift, and still have cash left ?

But if on speed, and convertible, then potato is in favor.

I am curious on the handling of the TT. How is it compare to the twin ?

It's also a skill level thing. While the TT's Haldex based AWD is not an advanced AWD system, it's still AWD which is inherently easier to drive faster. Trying to do the same thing (with a comparable W:P ratio) is going to more difficult in a RWD layout. It comes down to the driver, IMO.

If the TT is haldex equipped, the weight is closer to 3,500lbs.

I had a mkv R32 before this.. Basically the same thing as a DSG 3.2L 250hp/236tq "quattro" (not true quattro, it's vw's 4-motion) Audi TT.

Fun cars, but the clearly felt weight and heavy front end power bias makes for the feeling of still driving a FWD car. Even with a Haldex controller, it's not the same feeling as say... an A4, EVO, or STI.

Oh, I believe that. The single least comfortable backseat (or seat of any kind, really) that I've ever had the displeasure of sitting in was in a TTRS. It's awful.

You complain about a seat made to have shopping bags put on it?
